New Floors for Webster Homes, Laid on a Properly Prepared Base

We install hardwood, luxury vinyl plank, tile, laminate, carpet and stair flooring for homeowners in Webster, League City and Friendswood. Before we quote a single plank, we check your concrete slab for moisture and high spots, so the floor you pick stays flat, quiet and tight at the seams for years.

Flooring We Install

Most homes here sit on a concrete slab, and that slab decides which floors will last and how they have to go down. We install hardwood flooring, luxury vinyl plank, luxury vinyl tile, laminate flooring and tile flooring, plus carpet installation, carpet tile and vinyl composition tile for rooms that take heavy use. Stair flooring gets its own attention, since treads and nosings need a different fastening method than the floor around them. Pick a service below to see how we handle that material from prep to final trim.

  • Luxury Vinyl Plank

Rigid-core vinyl plank for kitchens, baths and whole floors, laid over a slab we test for moisture and flatten before the first row goes down.

  • Tile Flooring

Porcelain, ceramic and stone tile set on a flattened, membrane-protected slab, with movement joints placed so grout lines stay tight.

  • Laminate Flooring

Click-lock laminate laid over a moisture-tested, flattened subfloor, with the right underlayment and expansion gaps so joints stay tight.

  • Carpet Installation

New carpet laid over fresh tack strip and pad, power-stretched so it stays flat, with seams placed out of traffic paths.

  • Carpet Tile

Modular carpet squares for game rooms, offices and playrooms, set in release adhesive so one stained or soaked tile can be swapped out later.

  • Luxury Vinyl Tile

Stone and ceramic-look vinyl tile, glue-down or click, installed over slabs we test for moisture and flatten first.

  • Vinyl Composition Tile

Durable 12-inch VCT for laundry rooms, garage conversions and game rooms, set in adhesive over a prepped slab and finished with protective coats.

How We Work in Your Home

A floor fails from what is under it more often than from the material on top. That is where we spend our time first.

We measure moisture before we sell anything

Concrete keeps releasing water vapor long after it cures, and our humid air makes it worse. We test the slab with a meter at several spots and tell you the readings. If they are high, we specify a vapor barrier or a glue rated for it instead of hoping the floor copes.

Flatness is checked with a straightedge

Most click-lock floors need the base flat within about 3/16 inch over 10 feet. We find the dips and humps, then grind the high spots or pour self-leveler in the low ones. Skipping this step is why some new floors flex, click and separate at the joints.

Quotes you can read line by line

Your quote breaks out removal, prep, material, underlayment, trim and transitions separately. You can see what each piece costs and decide where to spend.

Your rooms are protected and cleaned

We cover doorways, protect cabinets and baseboards we keep, and haul off the old flooring. At the end we vacuum, wipe down trim and walk the floor with you.

Straight answers on material choice

If solid hardwood is a poor fit for a ground-floor room on slab, we say so and explain why engineered hardwood or vinyl plank holds up better there.

From First Call to Final Walkthrough

Every installation moves through four stages. How long each one takes depends mostly on what the slab needs before the new floor goes down.

  1. 1

    Phone call and visit

You tell us the rooms and the look you want. We set a time to come out, measure, take moisture readings and check flatness.

  2. 2

    Quote and material order

You get a line-item quote. Once you approve it, we order material and, for wood and laminate, let it acclimate in your home so it adjusts to the indoor humidity before it is cut.

  3. 3

    Removal and prep

We take out the old flooring, repair cracks, level the slab and lay any vapor barrier or underlayment the material calls for. This day is the loudest and dustiest, and we contain it as well as we can.

  4. 4

    Install, trim and walkthrough

We lay the floor with the right expansion gaps at the walls, then fit baseboard, transitions and stair nosings. We clean up and walk every room with you before we call the job done.

About Flooring Webster

We are a flooring installer working in homes across Webster and the towns around it. Over the years we have pulled up a lot of failed floors, and the cause is usually the same: a slab that was never tested, a floor that was never acclimated, or expansion gaps that were left too tight. Those lessons shape how we install today.

Our work is installation only. We focus on getting new floors down right, from slab prep to the last piece of trim, and we explain each choice so you know why your floor was installed the way it was.

Flooring Questions We Hear Often

Which floor holds up best on a concrete slab in this humidity?

Luxury vinyl plank and tile handle moisture best, since neither one swells. Engineered hardwood is the better wood choice on slab, because its layered core moves less than solid boards. Laminate works well too if it goes over a proper vapor barrier and is kept away from rooms that get wet often.

How do you price a flooring job?

We measure your rooms, test the slab and then write a quote that lists removal, prep, material, underlayment and trim separately. Price depends mostly on square footage, the condition of the slab and the material you choose. We do not quote a final number until we have seen the floor.

How long does installation take?

A couple of bedrooms in carpet or vinyl plank often take a day or two. Tile takes longer, since thinset and grout need time to cure, and slab leveling can add a day. We give you an expected schedule with your quote.

Do you remove the old flooring and move furniture?

Yes. Tearing out the existing floor and hauling it off is work we do ourselves, and it shows up on your quote as a separate line. We can move most furniture out of the work area and back. Please clear out small items, fragile pieces and anything inside cabinets before we arrive.

Does wood flooring really need to sit in the house first?

Yes. Wood and laminate take on or lose moisture until they match the indoor air. Installed too soon, boards can cup or open gaps once they adjust. We keep the material inside your home for the time the manufacturer specifies before we cut anything.

What happens if the moisture test comes back high?

It does not rule out the floor you want, but it changes how it goes down. For floating floors we add a vapor barrier film under the underlayment. For glue-down vinyl or wood we switch to an adhesive rated for higher slab moisture, or apply a moisture-blocking primer first. We show you the readings and explain which option fits before anything is ordered.

Can new flooring go over the floor I have now?

Sometimes. A floating vinyl plank floor can go over old ceramic tile that is flat and stuck tight to the slab with no hollow spots, as long as the added height still clears doors and appliances. Carpet, pad and any loose or cracked tile always come out first. We check door clearances, dishwasher height and transitions during the visit and tell you which way makes sense.

Do I need a permit for new floors?

Replacing floor coverings usually does not require a city permit. If your job involves anything beyond that, or your HOA has rules on materials or sound underlayment, we will point it out during the visit so you can check before work starts.

Do you offer a warranty on installation?

Yes. We provide a 1-year workmanship warranty on all installations. If something in how we installed your floor gives you trouble in that first year, let us know by phone and we will come take a look.

Why Flooring Quotes Differ From Home to Home

Square footage sets a baseline, but prep work and room layout usually decide the final figure. The material you choose is only one part of the total.

We give you a quote after we have seen and measured your rooms and checked the slab. It lists each part of the job separately, so nothing gets folded into a single lump sum.

Room size and shape
The total area sets how much material and labor the job needs. Shape counts as well, since hallways, closets and angled walls call for extra cuts and leave more offcuts than one open rectangle.
Removing the old floor
Pulling carpet and pad is quick. Breaking up tile set in a mortar bed, or scraping old glue off a slab, takes much longer and produces heavy debris to haul away.
Slab condition
Cracks, high moisture readings and uneven spots each add a step: crack repair, a vapor barrier or moisture-rated adhesive, grinding or self-leveler. We show you what we found before it goes on the quote.
Material and installation method
Floating click-lock floors install faster than glue-down planks or tile set in thinset. Large-format tile also needs a flatter base and more careful setting.
Stairs, trim and transitions
Each stair is measured and fitted by hand. New baseboard or quarter round, door undercutting and transition strips between rooms all add up.

Ready to Plan Your New Floor

Tell us which rooms you want to redo and what is on the floor now. We will set up a visit to measure and test the slab, then put together your quote.
